À propos de Andre 3000
Andre 3000 is one of hip-hop's greatest voices, a true artist who has influenced a generation of Southern rappers and can elicit frenzied chatter with a mere guest appearance. And though he is on an extended hiatus -- his group Outkast has not released an album since 2006's Idlewild -- fans continue to hope that he'll make a proper return to the music scene. In 2006, Andre 3000 created Class of 3000 for the Cartoon Network. The underrated show was nothing short of revolutionary, and the music, mostly written by Andre, reflected true pop music so well you'll have a hard time discerning where Outkast ends and Class of 3000 begins. It was canceled in early 2008, leaving us to wonder when he'll record a solo album, or better yet, reunite with Big Boi for another Outkast LP. Meanwhile, Andre 3000 has earned a reputation as a killer cameo artist, thanks to verses on UGK's "Int'l Players Anthem" and John Legend's "Green Light." He also produced a few tracks for Big Boi's solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty; has starred in a few movies (including the Will Ferrell comedy Semi-Pro); and recorded a well-received remake of The Beatles' "All Together Now" for Nike.
