A laid-back, West Coast bop session, this was the vibraphonist's first straight jazz set after making a name for himself in Latin circles. Tjader, who switches between the drums and vibes here, is joined by future Brubeck bassist Eugene Wright, undervalued guitarist Eddie Duran, pianist Sonny Clark and saxophonist Brew Moore (both of whom were sadly short-lived).
