Though Foghat achieved popularity during the golden age of album-oriented rock, 1974-'79, they were a killer singles band. On ubiquitous radio staples like "I Just Want to Make Love to You" and "Slow Ride" the group takes your basic British blues rock and dresses it up with all kinds of studio tricks (phasing, multilayered guitars, etc.) nicked from glam rock and probably Pink Floyd, too.
