Matt Costa

À propos de Matt Costa

Matt Costa has his crushed dreams of a pro skateboarding career to thank for his start in music. After a leg-shattering skateboarding injury, the Huntington Beach, Calif., native spent 18 months recuperating, playing guitar and writing songs. This period resulted in a four-song demo that No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont got his hands on and liked so much that he started backing Costa, working with him to put together a debut album. EPs from those sessions made their way to Jack Johnson, who signed Costa to his Brushfire Records label. Brushfire released Costa's Songs We Sing in 2006.
