In 1973, McCartney released the amazing Bond theme "Live And Let Die," the pro-weed boogie rock single "Hi, Hi, Hi," and this lazy, half-assed record. Still, there are some neglected cuts here, including the warm, utterly charming "When the Night" and the slight, self-pitying "Single Pigeon." The lush ballad "My Love" went to No. 1 in America and remained a radio staple well into the 1980s. The song helped the album top the charts, but Paul knew he needed to buckle down -- Band on the Run was next.
