This girl has the makings of a bona fide pop star: she shed her Disney trappings in a single bound with this well-rounded smorgasbord of pop delicacies. You've got your too-old-for-her-age sleek dance pop, oodles of Kelly Clarkson homages and even a little Miley-esque twang. With her warm and surprisingly strong voice, Gomez has the chops to pull it all off. But we like her best when she out-Avrils Avril on bratty mall-punk cuts like the title track and the invincible "Tell Me Something I Don't Know."
