Take Me To The Hospital
Twenty-five years after their founding, The Prodigy have settled into a comfortable rhythm. Every five or six years, they release a new album that sounds more or less like the last one: pummeling breakbeats, chainsaw guitars, sneering chants. So goes The Day Is My Enemy, but it's not without surprises, like lyrics borrowed from Cole Porter, Bulgarian clarinet samples, and guest vocals from Martina Topley-Bird and pub philosophers Sleaford Mods. The occasional theremin adds a touch of B-movie sci-fi that perfectly suits The Prodigy's madcap escapades.
